Mandani Bay to turnover 1.2k units in April; Phase 3 in planning stage

PROPERTY developer HT Land Inc. will turn over 1,200 condo units of Towers 1 and 2 of Mandani Bay Suites starting April this year.

Gilbert Ang, Mandani Bay project director, said the turnover of the first two Phase 1 Mandani Bay Suites towers will set the standard for other developments that will be built inside the 20-hectare master-planned project in North Reclamation Area in Mandaue City.

“We’ll see how the market responds as soon as the units are turned over,” said Ang. Condo buyers in Mandani Bay are 80 percent locals dominated by Cebuanos.

HT Land Inc. is a joint venture of Hongkong Land and Taft Properties that aims to transform Mandaue City’s bay area into a premier lifestyle and business hub in Cebu. The master-planned project will be developed in eight phases.

Amenities of the two towers like the swimming pool, game room and function room will also be opened by April. Mandani Bay’s boardwalk, on the other hand, is slated for completion by the second quarter of 2021.

“Our projects were well accepted by Cebuanos and because of that we are now in the planning stage for Phase 3,” said Ang.

“We are still studying what products to offer to the market. It is still in the early stage of planning.”

But Ang said Phase 3 might still be a mixed-use concept with residential and office components.

“We plan to launch it before the end of 2020,” he said.

In November 2019, HT Land unveiled Mandani Bay Quay Tower 3, a 36-story condominium that will complete the Phase 2 development. Quay’s Tower 3 offers Mandani’s first fully-furnished units, whose interiors are designed by Hong Kong-based PTang Studio Ltd.

The first tower of Phase 2 will be completed by early 2022 while the second tower will follow later that year. The completion of Phase 2’s office tower and third residential tower is eyed by early and later 2023, respectively.

Meanwhile, Ang said Mandani Bay’s hotel development will either be in the Phase 2 or 3 of the township project. But he noted it will be a separate development.

“We wanted to get a brand that can give us a five-star hotel. We are not yet sure if it is an international or a local chain but definitely, it will be a five-star brand,” he said. (KOC)
