Sta. Lucia showcases Negros project

LISTED Sta. Lucia Land Inc. (SLI) announced on Friday that it recently opened its P500-million mixed-use development at Barangay Rizal, Silay City, Negros Occidental.

In a filing with the local bourse, the listed property developer said that the 67-hectare (ha) La Alegria Residential Estates, which it described as the “Paris of Negros Occidental,” is the second project development of SLI in the province.

The property firm broke ground for it in September 2017.

Sta. Lucia highlighted its 5-ha man-made Lake Aurora within the Negros Occidental estate, which is seen to provide recreational and sports activities to potential residents.

“Aside from featuring a … man-made lake.., residents will also get to enjoy the majestic view of the mountains of northern Negros,” it added.

Other amenities offered are a ballroom, coffee shop, covered basketball and badminton courts, gym, office, swimming pool, and an island built with a swimming pool, picnic area, gazebo and lighthouse.

SLI said that La Alegria is near the Bacolod-Silay Airport and the soon-to-rise Magic Island Theme Park.

The Negros Occidental project is offering 1,101 residential lots with sizes ranging from 150 square-meters (sqm) to 300 sqm, and 83 commercial spaces with sizes ranging from 500 sqm to 1,000 sqm.

“La Alegria is ideal for families, individuals and overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) looking for an affordable place where they can enjoy life’s modern comforts while revelling in nature’s splendor,” it said.

SLI saw its consolidated net income grow more than two-fold to P884 million in the first half, from year-earlier P433 million on the back of strong revenue growth.

Sta. Lucia shares inched up by 1 centavo or 0.39 percent to end at P2.59 each on Friday.
