Taft Properties to enter hotel biz
TAFT Properties will soon enter the booming tourism industry as it plans to erect a hotel as part of the mixed-use project, Taft East Gate.
Myra Lynn Gilig, vice president and deputy chief operating officer of Taft Properties, said they eye to partner with an international hotel brand to realize the company’s first venture in the hospitality business.
“We don’t have concrete plans yet for the hotel as to which brand will operate, but the plan to open a hotel is part of the integrated development for Taft East Gate. We think that we will not have difficulty selling it because of the project’s strategic location,” she said.
Taft East Gate sits on a 1.5 hectare property located on Cardinal Rosales Avenue corner Pope John Paul II Avenue, Cebu City.
This is a 10-year micro-township development that will house four towers. Tower 4 will be the hotel to be anchored by Taft East Gate Mall. (KOC)
