Vista Land to launch 50 new projects in H2
MANILA, Philippines — Vista Land & Lifescapes Inc., the property holding company of the Villar Group, is rolling out at least 50 new residential projects across the country in the second half, bringing its total count of launches in 2023 to 100.
The move is part of the group’s overall shift toward vertical developments from its usual horizontal residential projects, said Vista Land chairman Manuel Villar Jr.
Villar said it was time to shift to vertical developments to remain competitive as a property company given that practically all big developers in the country were already focused on vertical projects and nobody was doing horizontal anymore because it costs more.
“We will now have the most number of launches in the second half up to next year. These will be vertical. It will be all over the country. In the first half, we launched 50 projects and in the second half, another 50,” Villar said.
He said the Villar Group has been focused too much on horizontal developments while other property developers accelerated their vertical projects.
Villar is optimistic that demand for vertical residential condominiums will remain strong given the growing population in the country and the fact that many Filipino families still do not have their own homes.
With more planned vertical launches in the second half of the year, Vista Land would be the only property company with vertical developments nationwide, Villar said.
Vista Land will also launch condominiums within the planned 3,500-hectare Villar City, the former senator’s most ambitious project to date.
Villar City is a mixed-use estate rising in the south, with residential, commercial and office components. It will span 15 cities, namely: Taguig, Las Pinas, Parañaque, Muntinlupa, Bacoor, Dasmariñas, Imus, San Pedro, General Mariano Alvarez, Silang, General Trias, Tanza, Trece Martires, Carmona, and Tagaytay.
Based on the masterplan, Villar City will include a modern central business, a tech valley, a university town, and a premier lifestyle hub.
